Summer 2011 Art Show

The Promega Summer Art Showcase Presents Wisconsin Native American Artists. The showcase is pleased to have this group of artists’ exhibit their work reflecting their heritage from Assiniboine, Ho-Chunk, Iroquois, Lakota and Oneida tribes.

The Summer Showcase was sparked with a yard sale purchase of a small ceramic pot in Arizona by curator, Daniel Swadener. The ceramic pot* was made by Rose Kerstetter of the Oneida Nation in Wisconsin. It was after Daniel met Rose and other Oneida Nation artists that the idea to showcase Wisconsin Native American artists came to fruition.
