Katherine Steichen Rosing

Katherine Steichen Rosing lives in Madison where she teaches studio art courses at Madison College in the College Transfer Art program. She earned an MFA from Northern Illinois University and has been active in the arts communities in Denver, Chicago, and Madison.  In Chicago, she served on the board of A.R.C. Gallery & Educational Foundation as Exhibition Curator and Vice-President, and delegate to the NGO Forum of the Fourth UN Conference on Women held in China in 1995 representing Chicago Women’s Caucus for Art. Her paintings have been exhibited and collected throughout the United States and internationally including Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee, and State of Wisconsin Collection. Rosing’s quiet contemplative abstract landscape paintings are inspired by her experiences hiking, kayaking, and swimming in northern forests and lakes.  www.studioksr.com
